Inez - Leroy Victor Repka, 84, of Inez, passed away on May 27, 2010. He was born in Victoria, Texas to the late Felix and Gusta Holy Repka on August 25, 1925. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Leroy was a retired carpenter, a member of VFW Post 4146 since 1946, member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Charter member of the Inez Volunteer Fire Department, served as an officer and member of RVOS and SPJST for more than fifty years.

Inez - Leroy Victor Repka, 84, of Inez, passed away on May 27, 2010. He was born in Victoria, Texas to the late Felix and Gusta Holy Repka on August 25, 1925. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Leroy was a retired carpenter, a member of VFW Post 4146 since 1946, member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Charter member of the Inez Volunteer Fire Department, served as an officer and member of RVOS and SPJST for more than fifty years.

While serving his country in the United States Army during WWII, he received three battle stars, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and Good Conduct Medal.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bessie Neisser Repka of Inez; daughters: Cathryn (Dwight) Winkler of East Bernard; Carol (Douglas) Prukop of Katy; Charlene (Gary) Edwards of Victoria; sons Charles (Paula) Repka of Inez, and Craig (Letitia) Repka of Inez, and brother Leo (Rosie) Repka of Victoria. Grandsons: Thomas Winkler, Jason, Clayton, and Clinton Repka, Kevin Prukop, Chad and Corey Edwards, and Blake Repka. Granddaughters: Tammy Dotson, Celeste Kretser, Stacey Echols and Kristi Repka. Step grandchildren: Kellye Sebby, Kandace Gaskamp, Kristin Lange and Jeffrey Prukop. Also, twenty-three great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents, brother Johnny Repka, sister Margaret Repka, grandchildren Terri Winkler and Amy Prukop.

A time of visitation will be held 5-7 Sunday May 30, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Inez with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM. Funeral mass will be 2 PM on Monday, May 31, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Gabriel Bentil officiating. Interment will be in Shillerville Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of Victoria County Veterans Council, AL, CWV, VFW, DAV, MCL, MOWW, Ex-POW, MOPH, VVA and the KWV.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters.
