Jessie Lynn Whitfield, 85, of Victoria passed away April 2, 2015. She was born November 26, 1929 in DaCosta to the late A.B.and Gladys May Pridgen Linam. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was retired from First Victoria National Bank and was also a telephone switchboard operator. Jessie Lynn was a devoted wife, and the sweetest mother and grandmother. Her faith was unwavering and she had great strength. Her love for family and friends was unconditional and everlasting.

Jessie Lynn Whitfield, 85, of Victoria passed away April 2, 2015. She was born November 26, 1929 in DaCosta to the late A.B.and Gladys May Pridgen Linam. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was retired from First Victoria National Bank and was also a telephone switchboard operator. Jessie Lynn was a devoted wife, and the sweetest mother and grandmother. Her faith was unwavering and she had great strength. Her love for family and friends was unconditional and everlasting.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynette Johnson and husband, Stan of Fordtran, Donna Morrow and husband, Baine of College Station; son, Dennis Whitfield of Victoria; sister, Charlotte Rich of Victoria; brothers, Otis Linam and Wayne Linam both of Victoria. Her grandchildren she loved so dearly Brenna, William, Aaron, Brooke (Reagan), Matthew, David, Daniel (Jodi) and Jacob; great grandchildren, Nathan, Noah, Wyatt, Holly, Emery and Bryan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Hollie Whitfield.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 6, 2015 from 8 AM to 10 AM at Northside Baptist Church with services to follow at 10 AM. Rev. Tim Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Crescent Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William and Aaron Whitfield, Matthew and David Johnson and Daniel and Jacob Morrow.
