Curtis Howard Ross, of Placedo, Texas, went to be with The Lord and Savior Friday, June 9th, 2017. He was 91 years old. Curtis was born October 9, 1925, in Goliad County, Texas to the late William and Cardelia Ross. He retired from Sun Oil Company and self-employed rancher. He was a member of Webster Chapel United Methodist Church. Curtis met the love of his life Gwendolyn Ross, they were united in Holy Matrimony June 23, 1951. To this union four children were born. Curtis Howard Ross, of Placedo, Texas, went to be with The Lord and Savior Friday, June 9th, 2017. He was 91 years old. Curtis was born October 9, 1925, in Goliad County, Texas to the late William and Cardelia Ross. He retired from Sun Oil Company and self-employed rancher. He was a member of Webster Chapel United Methodist Church. Curtis met the love of his life Gwendolyn Ross, they were united in Holy Matrimony June 23, 1951. To this union four children were born. Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Gwendolyn Ross, June 4, 2016; and daughter Darlene Jackson.

Curtis is survived by, Pat Houck (Allen) of Sugar Land, Texas, Alton Ross, of Bloomington, Texas, Howard Ross (Judy) of Placedo, Texas. There are five grandchildren; Arelecia "Dee" Ross, Gunnery Sgt. Patrick Houck (Courtney), Kayla Diggs, Jeremy Jackson and Tiffany Houck. Four great-grandchildren; Caleb Brown, Kynedei Ross, Kam'ren Glenn and Adon Ellis.

Curtis is also survived by two sisters, Marie Johnson of San Antonio, Texas and Eliza Ross of Cuero, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, S. J., Joseph, Glenn, Shirley, and Harold Ross, and 2 sisters; Addie Wilson and Elene Williams.

A visitation will be Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11 am at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
