Angel Lee Elizabeth Weise Karnei, 95, of Victoria, went to be with her Lord on June 11, 2017. Angel Lee was born in Goliad, TX, on October 10, 1921 to the late Arthur and Minnie Wolf Weise. Angel Lee was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 60+ years and the Herman Sons Da Costa Lodge for 60+ yrs., member of First English Lutheran Church for 72 years and also the 50 & Fun dominos group, Good Cheer for 68 yrs., and a Girl Scout Assistant Leader for 12 years. Angel Lee Elizabeth Weise Karnei, 95, of Victoria, went to be with her Lord on June 11, 2017. Angel Lee was born in Goliad, TX, on October 10, 1921 to the late Arthur and Minnie Wolf Weise. Angel Lee was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 60+ years and the Herman Sons Da Costa Lodge for 60+ yrs., member of First English Lutheran Church for 72 years and also the 50 & Fun dominos group, Good Cheer for 68 yrs., and a Girl Scout Assistant Leader for 12 years. She was a country girl at heart which would never leave her. She loved cooking, visiting with people and loved her family. Even in her later years she could still play a mean game of straight dominos.

Angel Lee is survived by her son Kermit Glen Karnei and wife Brenda of Navosota, TX, daughter Karel Gae Batts and husband Roy of Richmond, TX, five grandchildren Tracy Hermes, Stefanie Tumlinson, Kenneth Karnei, Jr., Roy Allen Karnei, Bonnie Cerny and five great-grandchildren Mallory, Brayden, Brannon, Brenham, Cheyenne and one on the way. She is presided in death by her parents Arthur and Minnie Weise of Goliad, TX, sister Willis Baacke of Yorktown, TX, brother James Weise of Levitown, Pennsylvania, husband Ellroy Wilson Karnei, oldest son Kenneth Wayne Karnei and great-grandson Lain Hermes.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10 am at First English Lutheran Church with burial immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery and then back at the church for lunch.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Hermes, Cliff Cerny, Roy Allen Karnei, Kenneth Wayne Karnei Jr., Shawn Tumlinson, Brayden Tumlinson, Brannon Tumlinson, and Brenham Tumlinson.

Honorary pallbearers are James Reinhardt, Alfred Reinhardt, Vicki Spann and Patsy King.

Memorial donations may be made to First English Lutheran Church.
